Wind at the foot of the mountain.
The superior man helps others
and fortifies himself.
Success
if you keep to your course.
Cross the great water,
but for three days before doing so
consider the step carefully;
and for three days afterward
reconsider it.

Mang (Youthful Ignorance)
From the deep at the foot of the mountain
a spring issues.
The man is resolute and takes care of himself.
I do not seek the ignorant.
The ignorant seek me.
I will instruct them.
I ask nothing but sincerity.
If they come out of habit
they become troublesome.
Success
if you are firm.
